Reservations are open for the Chamber’s networking mixer tomorrow, Wednesday, October 5th from 5 pm to 7 pm at Providence Place Senior Living 149 S. Hunter Highway, Route 309 in Drums. All Chamber members, their guests, employees, and co-workers, are invited to attend. There is no fee, however reservations are required.
Chamber members, employees, co-workers & guests are invited to enjoy a casual, after-hours event, networking with the business community of Greater Hazleton Chamber!
Meet the team at Providence Place Senior Living, hear about their services, take a tour and enjoy a delectable menu they have planned for you which feature a main course, dessert and a specialty drink.
Everyone is encouraged to bring along their business cards to distribute to their fellow Chamber members. And a doorprize drawing will also take place.

The Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce Women’s Networking Committee is holding a woman’s networking luncheon program on Tuesday, September 27th from 12 noon to 1 pm at the Valley Country Club in Sugarloaf. The event is being sponsored by Lehigh Valley Hospital - Hazleton and it is open for
any woman to attend.
The program will begin promptly at 12 noon and will include lunch. Our guest speaker is Dr. Lori A. Alfonse, DO, Deputy Physician in Chief, Cancer Institute, Surgical Oncology. She will present on breast health. Dr. Alfonse focuses on breast cancers, benign disorders of the breast.
Dooprize drawings including, a free lunch for the next program and the opportunity to give an introduction of your business at the event will be drawn. Women are encouraged to bring along promotional items, such as business cards, brochures, giveaways, etc. to display on our business
resource table.

The Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce is now seeking nominations for their 21st Annual Business & Community Awards. The awards are given each year in order to recognize individuals and businesses, which help to promote and support the Greater Hazleton Area.
Nominations are being accepted for: Small Business of the Year; Large Business of the Year, Rocco Colangelo Volunteer of the Year, Pride of Place, Charitable Organization of the Year, Healthy Workplace of the Year, and Young Entrepreneur of the Year.
A business or individual may be nominated for an award or they can nominate themselves. Once the nomination is received by the Chamber, the nominee will be notified and asked to complete an official application. The applications are reviewed and scored by a volunteer committee, and all winners will be recognized at a special luncheon program, sponsored by Community Bank, N.A., to be held on Thursday, October 27th at 11:45 am the The Pines Eatery & Spirits in Downtown Hazleton.

Due to impending weather, the Funfest Parade, Vendors & all other Funfest related activities are cancelled.
However, the 9/11 Memorial Prayer Service and Hazleton Art League Peace Love Chalk competition will still be held!
The 9/11 Memorial Prayer Service will now take place indoors at The Pines Eatery & Spirits, 8 W. Broad Street in Downtown Hazleton. You can also still view the 9/11 Mobile Exhibit Saturday and Sunday.
The Hazleton Art League will also still host its Peace Love Chalk competition inside the Hayden Family Center for the Arts.
