The Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce Women’s Networking Committee is holding their first woman’s networking luncheon program for 2018 on Tuesday, January 30th from 12 noon to 1 pm at Capriotti’s in McAdoo. The event is being sponsored by Hawk Mtn Labs and it is open for any woman to attend.
“The woman’s networking committee is very excited to continue to offer our luncheon programs for 2018. We will continue to keep our topics up to date and related to women and business.” explains Nina Bonus, volunteer Chair of the Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce Women’s Networking Luncheon Committee.
The program will begin promptly at 12 noon and will include a buffet style lunch. Our guest speakers will be Mary Veronica Sweeney and Ali McKittrick from Banking on the Arts Capital Campaign presenting on the Importance of Community Arts. They will discuss current Downtown community art projects, community arts projects they have been involved during their careers, how they have seen communities flourish because of the arts & more!

The Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce is seeking businesses to participate in the 2018 Greater Hazleton Job Fair set for Thursday, March 22nd . The job fair will be held at Genetti Ballrooms on Route 309 in Hazleton from 10 am to 4 pm.
This one-day event, will provide participating businesses with an informal, yet confidential forum to discuss career opportunities and options with hundreds of individuals from throughout the entire Greater Hazleton Area. Participating employers may accept resumes, offer information about career fields and employment opportunities, conduct interviews, promote your business and also seek for interns, summer employment, full and part time positions.

The Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce is offering another program on Safety Concerns in Worship Today on Wednesday, February 7th.The original January 25th session, sold out, so this is being offered in response to the demand for this program.
In 2013, the federal government issued a first-ever report outlining security recommendations for houses of worship. The 38-page plan advises congregations to plan for potential emergencies, including what police call random "active shooter" situations. Among the advice offered by the federal government: run, hide or, as a last resort, fight.
