The Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce is offering a program on Safety Concerns in Worship Today on Thursday, January 25th.

In 2013, the federal government issued a first-ever report outlining security recommendations for houses of worship. The 38-page plan advises congregations to plan for potential emergencies, including what police call random "active shooter" situations. Among the advice offered by the federal government: run, hide or, as a last resort, fight.

The Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce is offering a program entitled Create a Matrix Map: An Important Tool for Mission Focused Businesses on Tuesday, January 16th.

The Matrix Map is a visual tool that plots all of the organization's activities -- not just its programs -- into a single, compelling image. By illustrating the organization's business model -- through a picture of all activities and the financial and mission impact of each one -- it supports genuinely strategic discussions. Join us for a thought provoking session that you can take back to your board or staff to evaluate. As an option you can come with a list of activities and programs and an annual profit and loss report.

Since we kicked off our 125th anniversary year in May at our annual meeting, the time has gone so quickly. New members, fantastic networking events, seminars on current business topics and community wide events like Funfest and Taste of Greater Hazleton. These have all been part of the work our Chamber has
accomplished in this year of celebration.

Fyzical Therapy & Balance Center at HazletonFyzical Therapy & Balance Center at Hazleton is hosting an exclusive Networking Mixer for members of the Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce.
