The Greater Hazleton Chamber is pleased to present a hybrid Red Carpet Breakfast on Wednesday, June 22. Dr. Brian Uplinger and Dr. Pat Patte will update the business community on the Hazleton Area School District happenings, including building plans. Attendees will also have the opportunity for a question and answer session at the end of his presentation. The breakfast program will take place at Capriotti’s, located at 1 Banks Ave in McAdoo.
The program will begin at 7:45 a.m. and conclude at 9:00 a.m. A full breakfast will be served at the upcoming breakfast program for a $20 fee for chamber members and a $25 fee for non-chamber members. There is also an option for folks to attend via the zoom, at $5.00 for members and $10 for non- members. Greater Hazleton Native Named New CEO of PA Chamber of Business and Industry
The Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry recently announced the conclusion of its search for its next president and CEO with the nomination of Luke Bernstein, who is a native of Greater Hazleton.
A seasoned financial, government, and public policy professional with over 20 years of experience, Bernstein most recently served as executive vice president and chief operations and technology officer at Orrstown Financial Services, where he has been employed and served as corporate spokesperson since 2017.
Before joining the bank, he served as senior vice president of external affairs at the Pennsylvania Bankers Association from 2015 to 2017 and deputy chief of staff for former Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Corbett from 2011 to 2015.
In addition to his executive leadership roles in the private sector and state government, Bernstein has experience working at the federal level, previously serving as an appointed advisor in the Administration of President George W. Bush and as an aide in the U.S. Senate.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in political science and policy studies from Dickinson College. Luke looked forward to stepping into his new role, which began on June 15.
