The Greater Hazleton Chamber is pleased to present the August Red Carpet Breakfast on Tuesday, August 20. The breakfast program will take place at The Pines Eatery at 8 West Broad Street, Hazleton. Mr. Rich Roman, the Executive Director of Penn DOT District IV, will give an update on happenings in the Greater Hazleton area and the district as a whole. Attendees will also have the opportunity for a question and answer session at the end of his presentation.
The program will begin at 7:45 a.m. and conclude at 9:00 a.m. A full breakfast will be served at the upcoming program for a $25 fee for chamber members and a $35 fee for non-chamber members. Chamber members and guests who would like to attend should contact the chamber office at 570-455-1509, ext. 101 or register online no later than Thursday, August 16.
“ The growth of our area and the current and future projects of Penn DOT are key to the continued progress and success of our area. The opportunity for direct dialogue with the Executive Director is very important,” noted Mary Malone, President of the Greater Hazleton Chamber.
The Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce conducts the Red Carpet programs monthly as a way of providing information to the local business community as well as offering new and expanded business networking opportunities. Those in attendance will also be introduced to the work of and an update from Lackawanna College Hazleton Center, who is sponsoring the event. Attendees are encouraged to participate in the business card drop for a chance to win a free breakfast.
Chamber members, their employees, co-workers and guests are invited to attend an outdoor summer Chamber Networking Mixer. Attend this after-hours event with the business community. Carmen’s Country Inn & Gardens is hosting the event which will take place on Tuesday, August 6th from 5 pm to 7 pm. They will be showcasing their gorgeous new gardens area and outdoor event space. They are located at 364 Freedom Road in Drums.
Attendees will enjoy an array of delicious homemade hors d' oeuvres while enjoying a glass of beer or wine. Entertainment will be provided Just the Two of Us.

The Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce Women’s Networking Committee is holding their fourth woman’s networking luncheon program for 2024 Tuesday, July 30th from 12 noon to 1 pm at Best Cigar Pub in Drums. The event is being sponsored by Janney-Butera Jordan Hendricks Group and the event is open for any woman to attend.
The program will begin promptly at 12 noon and will include a buffet lunch. The guest speaker is Trooper Anthony Petroski III, Community Services Officer/Public Information Officer for the Pennsylvania State Police Troop N – Hazleton and he will be presenting on Personal Safety.
Dooprize drawings including, a free lunch for the next program and the opportunity to give an introduction of your business at the event will be drawn. Women are encouraged to bring along promotional items, such as business cards, brochures, giveaways, etc. to display on our business resource table.

Only a few openings remain for the 57th Annual Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce Golf Outing which will take place on Thursday, August 15th. The shotgun start tournament is scheduled to take place at Sugarloaf Golf Course at 11 am. Registration begins at 9:30 am.
Registration includes 18 holes of golf and a cart, gift bag for each golfer, prior to shotgun start coffee, donuts, bloody mary's and mimosas. On-course expo all day with businesses setup at the tees providing giveaways, food, drinks, snacks, games and more. An on-course hospitality tent with the famous ‘Chamber Chili Dogs", snacks, beer and drinks. After the round of golf there is a one-hour premium open bar and hors d' oeuvre reception followed by a full buffet dinner and awards program, where trophies
will be given out for championship, first and second flight, men's longest drive, women's longest drive,
closest to the pin and closest to the pin second shot on the green. A 50/50 raffle prize winner will be awarded and over prizes will also be given away.
