Final Chamber Woman’s Luncheon for 2021 Next Week

The Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce Women’s Networking Committee is holding their final woman’s networking luncheon program on Tuesday, November 30^th from 12 noon to 1 pm at The Pines Eatery & Restaurant on Broad Street in Downtown Hazleton. The event is being sponsored by Penn State Hazleton and it is open for any woman to attend.

The program will begin promptly at 12 noon and will include lunch. Our guest speakers are William Andahazy, Entrepreneurship Education Coordinator and Fermin Diaz, Entrepreneurship Facilitator at Hazleton LaunchBox supported by Pasco L. Schiavo, Esq.

They will discuss the Hazleton LaunchBox, which is part of Penn State’s Invent Penn State program, a Commonwealth-wide initiative to spur economic development, job creation and student career success. They will discuss women in entrepreneurship, recently launched women-owned businesses, and ongoing and future programming provided by the LaunchBox. A brief tour of the facility will immediately follow.

Dooprize drawings including, a free lunch for the next program and the opportunity to give an introduction of your business at the event will be drawn. Women are encouraged to bring along promotional items, such as business cards, brochures, giveaways, etc. to display on our business resource table.

PennDOT District IV Executive Richard Roman to speak at November 23 hybrid Red Carpet Breakfast

The Greater Hazleton Chamber is happy to announce this month’s hybrid Red Carpet Breakfast which will happen on November 23rd, 2021. Mr. Rich Roman is the District Executive for PENN DOT District IV which covers six county area in northeastern PA.

He will be speaking about current and upcoming projects in the district, including the tolling of bridges. Attendees will also have the opportunity for a question and answer session at the end of his presentation. The breakfast program is sponsored by H&K and will take place at Top of the Eighties, 3 Top of the Eighties Road, Hazleton 18202.

OSHA Directors, Attorneys to provide insight on COVID-19 mandate

Presented in partnership with Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney, the PA Chamber is proud to offer an upcoming free, virtual webinar, “OSHA’s COVID-19 Mandate Briefing", which will be held on Wednesday, November 10, from 11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. This program is designed to brief Pennsylvania business’s on the mandate, how OSHA will enforce this and provide best practices for complying.
