Space Remaining at the Greater Hazleton Job Fair 2020

Officials coordinating the Greater Hazleton Job Fair 2020 have announced that the event, scheduled for Thursday, March 26^th has 32 businesses participating to date and there is limited space remaining for additional businesses.

These businesses and institutions will be on hand to provide educational, career and employment opportunities for those in attendance. Local and regional businesses have signed up to participate in the one-day event, which will take place at Genetti Ballrooms on Route 309, Hazleton.

Employers seeking to locate full, part time, temporary or summer workers will be on hand to promote their opportunities. The job fair is free to anyone seeking new or improved employment opportunities. The businesses and organizations slated to participate to date in this year's event include:

Chambers Women’s Committee Seeking Businesses to Participate in 14th Annual Ladies Night Out

The Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce Women’s Networking committee is currently seeking businesses to display their wares in their exclusive 14^th Annual Ladies Night Out. The event, sponsored by Lehigh Valley Hospital Hazleton, will take place on Thursday, April 2^nd from 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm at The Pine’s Eatery & Spirits in Downtown Hazleton.

“The theme of the evening is networking, relaxation, shopping & self-indulgence and we are looking for businesses to participate in the expo who offer just that. Shops, boutiques, salons, fitness centers, etc…really any business that would appeal to a woman’s life and needs”, explains committee chair, Carolyn Boone, M&T Bank.

Businesses will have the opportunity to showcase their products and services to an audience of approximately 125+ women from the Greater Hazleton area. They will participate by displaying products, offering cash and carry items, providing demonstrations, offering samples of services, providing giveaways, coupons, etc. It is really an opportunity for businesses to showcase themselves in a creative, interactive way.

Chamber Members Invited to a Special Mixer at Catholic Social Services

All Chamber members, their guests, employees, and co-workers, are invited to attend a special Chamber Networking Mixer being hosted at Catholic Social Services Family Center, which is located at 106 S. Church Street in Downtown Hazleton. Catholic Social Services is celebrating 80 years in the community! Attendees will have the opportunity to check out the completed renovations and re-opening of the St. Joseph Food Pantry. “With so many recent changes, it is so important for business men and women to attend this mixer, so they can learn about the new and existing services and programs Catholic Social have offer to residents of the Greater Hazleton Area and help spread the word to family, friends and employees” explains Leann Fallabel, Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce.

Chamber Hosting Seminar Entitled Actionable Ideas for Business Owners

The Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce is offering a seminar entitled Actionable Ideas for Business Owners on Wednesday, February 19^th.

This seminar uses popular "tips" from book and social media campaign (#biztipthursday) and organizes the ideas/tips around three categories: 1.) Lead Your Business; 2.) Grow Your Business and 3.) Inspire Your Team. Ideas/tips within each category are further organized under specific needs of business owners such as Setting Direction, Anticipating Problems, Managing Money, Finding New Customers, Creating a Culture, and Providing a Safety Net for employees.
