Two local businesses are joining together to offer the Chamber’s first networking mixer for 2020. The mixer will take place on Thursday, February 6th at Antonia’s Jewelry & Repair, which is located at 289 Airport Road in Hazle Township. Billig-Helmes Insurance is co-hosting the event. All Chamber members, their guests, employees, and co-workers, are invited to attend. There is no fee, however reservations are required.
Mixers offer a casual, after-hours networking opportunity for the business community, as well as an opportunity for guests to learn more about the businesses sponsoring the event. Attendees will learn about the homeowner, automotive, and business & commercial insurance options Billig-Helmes has to offer, while browsing the gorgeous selection of jewelry Antonia's Jewelry & Repair has available. Complimentary hors d' oeuvres and cocktails will be provided.

The Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce Women’s Networking Committee is holding their first woman’s networking luncheon program for 2020 Tuesday, January 28th from 12 noon to 1 pm at Top of the 80’s Restaurant in Hazleton. The event is being sponsored by MassMutual of Eastern PA and it is open for any woman to attend.
“The woman’s networking committee is very excited to continue to offer our luncheon programs for 2020. We will continue to keep our topics up to date and related to women and business.” explains Leann Fallabel, Vice President of Marketing of the Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce.
The program will begin promptly at 12 noon and will include lunch. Our guest speakers will be Laura Sullivan and Chris Crosley, Financial Service Professionals with MassMutual of Eastern PA and the topic will be Women and Finance.
Having control over finances is a key part of a women's long-term financial well-being. This program will use statistics to highlight three top financial concerns of women: Savings, Investing and Retiring. This discussion will help women "take control" of finances, such as self-education, recognizing motivations and asking for help.

The Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce is seeking businesses to participate in the 2020 Greater Hazleton Job Fair set for Thursday, March 26th . The job fair will be held at Genetti Ballrooms on Route 309 in Hazleton from 10 am to 4 pm.
This one-day event, will provide participating businesses with an informal, yet confidential forum to discuss career opportunities and options with hundreds of individuals from throughout the entire Greater Hazleton Area. Participating employers may accept resumes, offer information about career fields and employment opportunities, conduct interviews, promote your business and also seek for interns, summer employment, full and part time positions.
The cost for businesses to participate is $275.00 for Chamber members and $375.00 for non-Chamber members. The price includes an 8’ x 8’ booth space with side and back drops, a 6’ skirted table, two chairs, wastebasket, company identification sign, coffee and donuts in the morning and electric service (if requested). Lunch tickets may be purchased for $15.00 each.
