Chamber Woman’s Networking Committee to Host a Series of Luncheon Programs for 2020

January Women's Luncheon The Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce Women’s Networking Committee is holding their first woman’s networking luncheon program for 2020 Tuesday, January 28th from 12 noon to 1 pm at Top of the 80’s Restaurant in Hazleton. The event is being sponsored by MassMutual of Eastern PA and it is open for any woman to attend.

“The woman’s networking committee is very excited to continue to offer our luncheon programs for 2020. We will continue to keep our topics up to date and related to women and business.” explains Leann Fallabel, Vice President of Marketing of the Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce.

The program will begin promptly at 12 noon and will include lunch. Our guest speakers will be Laura Sullivan and Chris Crosley, Financial Service Professionals with MassMutual of Eastern PA and the topic will be Women and Finance.

Having control over finances is a key part of a women's long-term financial well-being. This program will use statistics to highlight three top financial concerns of women: Savings, Investing and Retiring. This discussion will help women "take control" of finances, such as self-education, recognizing motivations and asking for help.

Chamber Seeking Businesses to Participate in Annual Job Fair

The Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce is seeking businesses to participate in the 2020 Greater Hazleton Job Fair set for Thursday, March 26th . The job fair will be held at Genetti Ballrooms on Route 309 in Hazleton from 10 am to 4 pm.

This one-day event, will provide participating businesses with an informal, yet confidential forum to discuss career opportunities and options with hundreds of individuals from throughout the entire Greater Hazleton Area. Participating employers may accept resumes, offer information about career fields and employment opportunities, conduct interviews, promote your business and also seek for interns, summer employment, full and part time positions.

The cost for businesses to participate is $275.00 for Chamber members and $375.00 for non-Chamber members. The price includes an 8’ x 8’ booth space with side and back drops, a 6’ skirted table, two chairs, wastebasket, company identification sign, coffee and donuts in the morning and electric service (if requested). Lunch tickets may be purchased for $15.00 each.

Chamber Women’s Holiday Social Set for December 11th

Women's Holiday Social The Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce Women’s Holiday Social will take place on Wednesday, December 11^thfrom 5 pm to 8 pm. The event sponsored MMI Preparatory School and hosted by The Pines Eatery & Spirits, 8 W. Broad Street in Downtown Hazleton.

The winners of the 15^th Annual Holiday Tree Decorating Contest will be announced and prizes will be awarded. Prizes are as follows: One :30 commercial production to be soley used on WYLN. Chamber Holiday Social Set for Thursday

The Greater Hazleton area business community and chamber members and their guests are invited to take part in the 24th Annual Greater Hazleton Holiday Social, which will take place at OneGroup Dryfoos Insurance located at 28 S. Vine Street in Downtown Hazleton this Thursday, December 5^th from 5 pm to 7 pm.

The mixer, coordinated by the Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce will provide a unique opportunity to share holiday spirit with friends, neighbors and colleagues from the local business community. The event will feature hors d’oeuvres, beer and wine.
