The Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce invites all chamber members and their employees who have joined the organization within the last year, any new employee to an existing Chamber member business or anyone who wants to learn more about the services and events the Chamber has to offer local businesses, to an Annual New Member Gathering. The event is taking place at the Hampton Inn,
1 Top of the 80’s Road in Hazleton, Thursday, June 27th from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
According to Dr. Gary Lawler, Chamber Board Chair, “This is a great opportunity for our newest members and their employees to learn more about the many benefits that investment in the Chamber has to offer. In addition to new members who have joined during this past year, any chamber member who is new to the area or who has made a career move, are also encouraged to attend the event. The event will also provide an opportunity to network with your fellow chamber member businesses and to have an opportunity to meet the Chamber staff, board members and members of the Ambassador committee.”

Luzerne County Manager Attorney David Pedri will address the business community on Wednesday, June 26th at the Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce Red Carpet Breakfast program. The breakfast program is sponsored by Hamster Group that includes three beautiful properties in the Greater Hazleton Area: Residence Inn by Marriott, Fairfield Inn and Suites and Hampton Inn. The Breakfast will take place at Cinema Draft House located at 31 West Broad Street, West Hazleton.
The program will begin at 7:45 a.m. and conclude at 9:00 a.m. A full breakfast will be served at the upcoming breakfast program for a $20 fee for chamber members and a $25 fee for non-chamber members. The Red Carpet programs are conducted monthly by the Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce as a way of providing information to the local business community and offering new and expanded business networking opportunities.
A special Chamber Networking mixer is taking place on Tuesday, June 11th from 5 pm to 7 pm at Four Blooms Restaurant, located at 668 N. Hunter Highway, Route 309 in Drums. Chamber members can invite their employees, co-workers and guests to the event, which is free to attend and offers a casual, after-hours networking opportunity for the business community.
Everyone will enjoy an array of hors d’ oeuvres and a cash bar, all while enjoying Four Blooms Restaurant beautiful outdoor patio. Doorprize drawings will also take place, so don't forget your business cards.
Attendees will have the opportunity to meet the faculty and staff of Marian Catholic High School, who is sponsoring the event, and learn about their curriculum and values.

The two-man team comprised of Jared Gregor and Darren Evanoff from Adecco took the Chamber’s championship flight award during the Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce 15th Annual Icebreaker Golf Outing Friday, April 26th at Eagle Rock Resort in Hazleton.
Other winners in the tournament were: First Flight representing MassMutual Eastern PA, Ron Mead and Rob Glycenfer. Second Flight representing Kazimierz Pulaski Club, John Wisdo and Tom Piscura.
Longest Drive award was won by Jared Gregor from Adecco. Longest putt award was won by John Tunnessen from DBi Services. And closest to the pin award was won by Darren Evanoff from Adecco.
