The Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce Women’s Networking Committee is holding their third a series of woman’s networking luncheon programs for 2019 Tuesday, May 21st from 12 noon to 1 pm at Martin’s Restaurant, located at 301 E. Broad Street in West Hazleton. The event is being sponsored by Merrill Lynch - Butera Jordan Bender Group and it is open for any woman to attend.
The program will begin promptly at 12 noon and will include lunch. Our guest speaker is Marci Hosier, Director of Enrollment Management & Marketing at MMI Preparatory School. She will present a Beginners Guide to LinkedIn and review how to set up and utilize this online networking platform to help your business and career grow.

The Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce is hosting a networking mixer at the new location of Eye Care Specialists this Wednesday, May 8th from 5 pm to 8 pm. Their new office is located at 789 Airport Road, Suite 105 in Hazle Township. Chamber members can invite their employees, co-workers and guests to the event, which is free to attend and offers a casual, after-hours networking opportunity for the business community.
Attendees will have the opportunity to visit the new location of Eye Care Specialists, meet the team and hear about all the services they provide. Complimentary hors d' oeuvres and refreshements will be provided and everyone is encourgaged to bring along their business cards for networking and door prize drawings.

Donna Marie Barna has been selected as the recipient of the 2019 Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce Athena Award, sponsored by Blaise Alexander Family Dealerships.
Barna is the President of Billig–Helmes Insurance, a fifth-generation family-owned business operating in the Greater Hazleton area since 1902. Her career started as a customer service representative in 1983 and she has progressed through a series of positions with increasing responsibility and took over as President in 2016. Through Berna’s guidance, she continues to grow and expand the family business and set it up for continued success.

The Fifteenth Annual Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce Icebreaker Golf Outing will take place this Friday, April 26th at Eagle Rock Resort in Hazle Township. The buffet lunch and registration for golfers begins at 11 am. The outing is a two-person scramble with shotgun start at 12 noon. Awards will be given immediately following the round of golf for championship and first and second flights and special awards will be longest drive, longest putt and closest to the pin.
