PA State Senatory John Yudichak to Speak at Chamber Breakfast Program

Senator Yudichak Continuing with the chamber’s legislative series, PA Senator John Yudichak, representing the 14th Senatorial District will address the business community on Thursday, March 21st at the Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce Red Carpet Breakfast program. He will discuss business and industry related news affecting the Greater Hazleton area community. Attendees will also have the opportunity for a question and answer session at the end of his presentation. The breakfast program is sponsored by Terry H. Jones Company, PC , and will take place at Valley Country Club, 79 Country Club Road, Sugarloaf, PA 18249.

The program will begin at 7:45 a.m. and conclude at 9:00 a.m. A full breakfast will be served at the upcoming breakfast program for a $20 fee for chamber members and a $25 fee for non-chamber members. Chamber Hosting International Women’s Day Networking Event Wednesday

International Women's Day The Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce Women’s Networking Committee invites all women from throughout Greater Hazleton to an International Women’s Day Networking event on Wednesday, February 27th from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm at Sacco Chiropractic, located at 1730 E. Broad Street, Hazleton.

Women are encouraged to come together and celebrate International Women's Day in Greater Hazleton and stand among women worldwide. The theme for 2019 is better the balance, better the world #balanceforbetter. As quoted from the International Women’s Day website, “The future is exciting. Let's build a gender-balanced world. Everyone has a part to play - all the time, everywhere. From grassroots activism to worldwide action, we are entering an exciting period of history where the world expects balance. We notice its absence and celebrate its presence.”

Space Remaining at the Greater Hazleton Job Fair 2019

Officials coordinating the Greater Hazleton Job Fair 2019 have announced that the event, scheduled for Thursday, March 28th has 35 businesses participating to date and there is limited space remaining for additional businesses.

These businesses and institutions will be on hand to provide educational, career and employment opportunities for those in attendance. Local and regional businesses have signed up to participate in the one-day event, which will take place at Genetti Ballrooms on Route 309, Hazleton.

Employers seeking to locate full, part time, temporary or summer workers will be on hand to promote their opportunities. The job fair is free to anyone seeking new or improved employment opportunities. The businesses and organizations slated to participate to date in this year's event include:

Chamber Hosting Required First Aid / CPR / AED Training

The Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce is offering First Aid / CPR / AED Training on Tuesday, February 26th.

Every workplace is required to have a complement of employees trained in First Aid/CPR/AED, should a medical emergency occur.

This course is being offered for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card in CPR and AED used to meet job, regulatory, or other requirements. This American Heart "HeartSaver" instruction, a comprehensive course taught in a dynamic, hands-on way with industry-leading curriculum and content from the expert in occupational first aid training.
