Chamber Mixer Set for Wednesday, October 10th

Heritage Hill Senior Living is sponsoring an exclusive Hazleton Chamber and Carbon Chamber Networking Mixer on Wednesday, October 10th from 5 pm to 7 pm. Heritage Hill is located at 800 Sixth Street in Weatherly.

Chamber members, their employees, co-workers & guests are invited to this free, casual, after-hours event, which provides each Chamber to network as one. This harvest pairing will offer food tastings and cocktails. Attendees are encouraged to bring along business cards to share with new contacts and for a chance to win doorprizes. Everyone is also asked to bing a non-perishable food donation for an extra raffle ticket.

Anniversary Celebration Being Held for Long-Time Members of the Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce

Membership Anniversary Celebration The Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce is kicking off October as Chamber of Commerce Month, and in doing so, they are holding an event to recognize several long-standing members who are celebrating a special anniversary with the organization in 2018. The 4TH Annual Anniversary Membership Celebration will take place on Thursday, October 4th. In addition to the businesses being recognized, as well as their employees, the entire Chamber membership is invited to attend. During this mixer-style event, each business will be recognized during a brief program and will also receive a gift from the Chamber. Everyone will enjoy complimentary hors d' oeuvres, beer & wine.

Chamber Woman’s Luncheon Program Open to ALL Business Woman from Throughout Greater Hazleton

Women's Luncheon The Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce Women’s Networking Committee is holding their fifth in a series of woman’s networking luncheon programs for 2018, Tuesday, September 25th from 12 noon to 1 pm at the Brass Buckle Restaurant in Conyngham. The event is open for any woman to attend.

The program will begin promptly at 12 noon and will include lunch. The guest speaker is Jocelyn Sterenchock, Coordinator of Entrepreneurial Services at the CAN BE (community association for new business entrepreneurship) Innovation Center. She will be presenting on how to be a successful entrepreneur, programs and services offered to aspiring entrepreneurs and what it takes to "grow your idea".

Chamber Seeking Candidates for Annual Business & Community Awards

The Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce is now seeking nominations for their 17th Annual Business & Community Awards. The awards are given each year in order to recognize individuals and businesses, which help to promote and support the Greater Hazleton Area.

Nominations are being accepted for: Small Business of the Year; Large Business of the Year, Rocco Colangelo Volunteer of the Year, Pride of Place, Healthy Workplace of the Year, Green Business of the Year and Young Entrepreneur of the Year.

A business or individual may be nominated for an award or they can nominate themselves. Once the nomination is received by the Chamber, the nominee will be notified and asked to complete an official application. The applications are reviewed and scored by a volunteer committee, and all winners will be recognized at a special luncheon program, sponsored by Community Bank, N.A., to be held on Thursday, October 25th at 11:45 am Sand Springs Country Club in Drums.
