Brass Buckle Restaurant and The Seach Law Offices are co-hosting an exclusive Networking Mixer for members of the Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce for the month of August on Wednesday, August 15th from 5 pm to 7 pm. It will take place at the Brass Buckle Restaurant, which is located at 334 Main Street in Conyngham.. Chamber members, their employees, co-workers and guests are invited to this free, casual, after-hours event, which provides a networking opportunity for the business community.
Attendees will enjoy an array of samplings featured from the Brass Buckle regular and catering menu. A cash bar with drinks specials will be available.
Only a few openings remain for the 51st Annual Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce Golf Outing which will take place on Thursday, August 16th. The shotgun start tournament is scheduled to take place at Mountain Valley Golf Course in Barnesville at 11 am. Registration begins at 9 am.
Registration includes 18 holes of golf and a cart, gift for each golfer, prior to shotgun start coffee, donuts, bloody mary's and mimosas. On-course expo all day with businesses setup at the tees providing giveaways, food, drinks, snacks, games and more. An on-course hospitality tent with the famous ‘Chamber Chili Dogs", snacks, beer and drinks. After the round of golf there is a one-hour premium open bar and hors d' oeuvre reception followed by a full buffet dinner and awards program, where trophies will be given out for championship, first and second flight, men's longest drive, women's longest drive, closest to the pin and closest to the pin second shot on the green. A 50/50 raffle prize winner will be awarded and over $2,000 in prizes will also be given away.
The 2018 Downtown Hazleton Classic Car Cruise-In will take place in Downtown Hazleton on Friday, August 3rd (rain date August 10th) from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. The Cruise-In, coordinated by the Downtown Committee of the Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce, is sponsored by Hazleton Auto Trades Association. “The Hazleton Auto Trades Association is excited to partner with the Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce for this year’s car cruise” stated Matt DePrimo of Barber Ford, president of the association. “Together the association members have had over 250 years of membership with the chamber. We understand the importance of a strong chamber in our community and look forward to the opportunity to bring a family friendly event that also represents a chance for us to showcase our individual businesses. We hope to see you all for a fun summer evening.”
On Cruise night, the classic vehicles enter at Church and Chestnut Streets (by the former Blue Comet Diner), make a left onto Laurel Street and then continue to Broad Street where they will immediately park between Cedar and Church Streets and will be available to the public for viewing until 9 p.m. Dash Plaques, compliments of Lehigh Tire Company, will be presented to the first 100 vehicles as well as goodie bags, donated by local businesses.
