The Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce has announced the winners of their Annual 2017 Business and Community Awards. In an attempt to help promote October as “Chamber of Commerce” month, the Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce will hold a special awards luncheon, sponsored by Community Bank, NA, to recognize the winners of the awards. The luncheon will take place on Thursday, October 26th at 11:45 am at Top of the 80’s Restaurant in Hazleton. The cost of the luncheon is $25 per person. The Community Awareness Committee of the Greater Hazleton of Commerce invites the public to attend the 10th Annual Tastes of Greater Hazleton, which will be held Sunday, October 15th from 12:00 noon to 3:00 pm at the Health & Wellness Center at Hazleton located on 50 Moisey Drive in Hazle Township.
Event coordinators have announced that three cooking demonstrations will take place at the event and they will be provided by the Brass Buckle, Alta Pizzeria & Pasta House and Top of the 80s Restaurant
According to Anna Jean Onuschak of Top of the 80s Restaurant, event chairwoman, “We are thrilled to feature these three very talented, local chefs and restaurant owners at our event. The attendees really look forward to seeing what they have to prepare and then having the chance to sample their dishes”

SSPTV and Community Services for Sight are co-sponsoring an exclusive Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce Networking Mixer on Thursday, October 12th from 5 pm to 7 pm. They are both located in Downtown Hazleton at 109 West Broad Street. Attendees will first visit the SSPTV studio on the main floor, take a studio tour and have their photo taken in front of the green screen with a fall foliage background of their choice. They will then be able to view the photos on the free SSPTV app, which can be downloaded from any device.
Mixer attendees will then move upstairs to Community Services for Sight community room and enjoy wine tastings, a beautiful display of hors d’ oeuvres and networking. Members will have the opportunity to hear about the services both organizations provide to the community.
