Continuing with the chamber’s legislative series, State Senator John R. Gordner, representing Pennsylvania’s 27th District will address the business community on Thursday, June 8th at the Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce Red Carpet Breakfast program. He will discuss legislation affecting the Greater Hazleton area community. Attendees will also have the opportunity for a question and answer session at the end of his presentation. The breakfast program is sponsored by BB&T, and will take place at Valley Country Club, 79 Country Club Road, Sugarloaf.
The program will begin at 7:45 a.m. and conclude at 9:00 a.m. A full breakfast will be served at the upcoming breakfast program for a $20 fee for chamber members and a $25 fee for non-chamber members. The Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce Women’s Networking Committee is holding their third a series of woman’s networking luncheon programs for 2017 Tuesday, May 23rd from 12 noon to 1 pm at Vesuvio’s Pizzeria & Restaurant, located at 101 N. Wyoming Street in Downtown Hazleton. The event is being sponsored by MMI Preparatory School and it is open for any woman to attend.
The program will begin promptly at 12 noon and will include a buffet style lunch. Our guest speaker is Marci Hosier, Director of Admissions and Marketing for MMI Preparatory School and she will present on using Pinterest as a business resource and touch briefly on overall social media good practices.

Carla is the Regional Director Operations, Hotels for the Hamister Group that operations three premier hotels in our area including; Residence Inn by Marriott, Fairfield Inn & Suites and Hampton Inn. She has an award winning hospitality career for over 15 years in positions with impact in the areas of administation, sales, customer service, hotel operations and facilities management.
Ms. Thaller started in her career as a front desk person while she was a full time student at King’s College. She graduated from King’s with a bachelor degree in Accounting and quickly advanced to supervisor and then manager for mutiple properties including Residence Inn by Marriott, Hampton Inn and Fairfield Inn & Suites.

The two-man team comprised of Tom Ciccarelli and Matt Diebert from Valley Country Club took the Chamber’s first place award during the Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce 13th Annual Icebreaker Golf Outing Friday, April 28th at Mountain Valley Golf Course in Barnesville.
Other winners in the tournament were: Second Place representing Shenandoah Senior Living Community, Tim Scheeler and John Rizzo. Third Place representing DBi Services, Bob Gorski and Joe Boretski.
