Officials from the Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce coordinating the Greater Hazleton Job Fair 2024 have announced that the event, scheduled for Thursday, March 21st has 20 businesses participating to date and there is space remaining for additional businesses.
These businesses and institutions will be on hand to provide educational, career and employment opportunities for those in attendance. Local and regional businesses have signed up to participate in the one-day event, which will take place at the Laurel Mall in Hazleton.

Chamber members, their employees, co-workers and guests are invited to attend the February networking mixer at CommunityCare located at 426 Airport Road in Hazle Township. This after-hours event will feature members of the team and Dr. George Ruiz, (pictured) board-certified cardiologist who cares for men and women. He specializes in general heart care including treatment for heart failure, pulmonary hypertension, adult congenital heart disease, and heart disease in pregnancy.
Attendees will enjoy a delectable array of hors d' oeuvres and special treats. In addition a basket raffle will take place with all proceeds benefiting the American Heart Association.
The mixer will be from 5 pm to 7 pm on Tuesday, February 13th.

The Greater Hazleton Chamber is pleased to present the second Red Carpet Breakfast for 2024 on Thursday, February 22, 2024 The Honorable Mayor Jeff Cusat , will update the business community on things happenings in the city and plans for the future. Attendees will also have the opportunity for a question and answer session at the end of his presentation. The breakfast program will take place at PTPA located at 212 West Broad Street, in the heart of the City.
The program will begin at 7:45 a.m. and conclude at 9:00 a.m. A full breakfast will be served at the upcoming program for a $25 fee for chamber members and a $30 fee for non-chamber members. Chamber members and guests who would like to attend should contact the chamber office at 570-455-1509, ext. 101 or register online at hazletonchamber.org no later than Monday, February 19th.
“The city has had another exciting year with big plans for the future. The opportunity for direct dialogue with the mayor and May of his Department heads is important to continue progress forward,” noted Mary Malone, President of the Hazleton Chamber. The Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce as a way of providing information to the local business community as well as offering new and expanded business networking opportunities conducts the Red Carpet programs monthly. Those in attendance will also be introduced to the work of the Barry Asset and Associates who is sponsoring the event. Students from Immanuel Christian School, located in downtown, will also be on hand and serving the breakfast that day. Attendees are encouraged to participate in the business card drop for a chance to win a free breakfast.
