Continuing with the chamber’s legislative series, PA State Rep. Tarah Toohil, representing the 116th Legislative District will address the business community on Thursday, May 4th at the Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce Red Carpet Breakfast program. She will discuss some of the legislation she’s been working on affecting the Greater Hazleton area community. Attendees will also have the opportunity for a question and answer session at the end of her presentation. The breakfast program is sponsored by St. Luke Village, and will take place at Edgewood by Sand Springs, 22 Edgewood Lane, Drums.
The program will begin at 7:45 a.m. and conclude at 9:00 a.m. A full breakfast will be served at the upcoming breakfast program for a $20 fee for chamber members and a $25 fee for non-chamber members. The Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce is offering a seminar entitled 5 Dysfunctions of a Team on Wednesday, April 26th.
Ken Altenbach from Team Building US will introduce the Team Building US 5 Dysfunctions of a Team Program. The program will cover inattention to results, avoidance of accountability, lack of commitment, fear of conflict and absence of trust and it will be followed by Q&A session. Those who should attend include: anyone in a leadership position, anyone who manages a team or anyone aspiring to lead a stronger team.

John Fletcher, president of Lehigh Valley Health Network-Hazleton, will address the business community on Friday, April 21st at the Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce monthly Red Carpet Breakfast program. He will discuss their plan for a major expansion of services in the city of Hazleton as well as Hazle and Butler Townships. Mr. Fletcher will elaborate on the networks strategy to focus primarily on outpatient services while maintaining and modernizing the hospital.
Attendees will also have the opportunity for a question and answer session at the end of his presentation. The breakfast program will take place at Genetti Catering in Hazle Township.
