Officials from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation will address the business community on Tuesday, November 15th at the Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce Red Carpet Breakfast program. The breakfast program will take place at Sister’s Restaurant, 789 N. Locust St., Hazleton.
The program will begin at 7:45 a.m. and conclude at 9:00 a.m. A full breakfast will be served at the upcoming breakfast program for a $20 fee for chamber members and a $25 fee for non-chamber members. The Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce is offering Roadway Flagger Certification Training on Thursday, November 3rd.
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation’s (PennDOT) Publication 213 requires that all individuals who have flagging responsibilities on ANY ROAD OPEN TO THE PUBLIC must be certified in compliance with the most current version of Publication 408, Section 901.3 Flagger Training. This requirement applies to anyone performing flagging duties on any public roadway in Pennsylvania.

The Community Awareness Committee of the Greater Hazleton of Commerce invites the public to attend the 9th Annual Tastes of Greater Hazleton, which will be held this Sunday, October 16th from 12:00 noon to 3:00 pm at the Health & Wellness Center at Hazleton located on 50 Moisey Drive.
Tickets are $18.00 in advance (available only online) and $20 at the door.
Three cooking demonstrations will take place at the event. Chef Steve Foley and Jerry Seiwell from Brass Buckle Restaurant will start things off, followed by Sous Chef Jeffrey Wallace of Sand Springs Country Club and the final demonstration will be Chef Jeff Keller from Top of the 80’s Restaurant.
