Chamber Mixer Set for Thurs, Sept 15th

Providence Place Senior Living is sponsoring an exclusive Chamber Networking Mixer on Thursday, September 15th from 5 pm to 7 pm. They are located at 149 S. Hunter Highway, on Route 309 in Drums.

Chamber members, their employees, co-workers & guests are invited to this free, casual, after-hours event, which provides a networking opportunity for the business community of Greater Hazleton. Attendees will have the opportunity meet the Providence Place team, take facility tours and enjoy the fall ambiance their the beautiful outdoor, third floor deck area has to offer. Complimentary hors ‘d oeuvres, desserts, a fall beer selection, sangria and more will be provided. Doorprize drawings will also take place so be sure to bring business cards.

The British Invasion Experience, Monsters of Rock Highlight Funfest 2016 Entertainment Schedule

NewBIEPicCROP5 Monsters of Rock Photo Funfest will celebrate the superheroes of rock and roll when The British Invasion Experience and Monsters of Rock take to the festival’s Premier Stage at Broad and Wyoming streets during Funfest 2016 on Saturday and Sunday, September 10 and 11. Once again, Funfest entertainment will be spread out all along Broad Street with performances at three locations: the Premier Stage, the Church Street Performance Area near the intersection of Church and Broad streets and Pocket Park Stage in between Laurel and Wyoming streets, right across from Funfest Headquarters, the Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce office.

The British Invasion Experience will perform Saturday from 5-7 p.m. The band, which is based out of Maryland, pays tribute to The Beatles from their introduction on the Ed Sullivan Show throughout their career, ending on the roof top of Abbey Road Studios. The group also performs well known hits from other British groups such as The Dave Clark Five, The Hollies, The Zombies, The Yard Birds, The Kinks, The Rolling Stones, The Who, and many more, ending with the psychedelic era of such groups as Cream and Pink Floyd.

PA State Representative Tarah Toohil to Speak at Chamber Breakfast

State Rep Tarah Toohil PA State Representative Tarah Toohil will address the business community on Thursday, September 15th at the Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce Red Carpet Breakfast program. The breakfast program is sponsored by Heritage Hill Senior Community, and will take place at Top of the 80’s, Hazleton.

The program will begin at 7:45 a.m. and conclude at 9:00 a.m. A full breakfast will be served at the upcoming breakfast program for a $20 fee for chamber members and a $25 fee for non-chamber members. The Red Carpet programs are conducted monthly by the Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce as a way of providing information to the local business community and offering new and expanded business networking opportunities.
