Chamber members, their employees, co-workers and guests are encouraged to attend the Chamber’s Annual Downtown Holiday Mixer on Thursday, December 7th from 5 pm to 7 pm. The event will take place in the beautiful, newly renovated Hazleton Active Adult Center which is located at 24 E. Broad Street in Downtown Hazleton. There is no fee to attend, but reservations are required.

The Greater Hazleton Chamber is pleased to present the final Red Carpet Breakfast for 2023 on Wednesday, December 6, 2023. Mr. Rich Roman, Executive Director of Penn DOT district IV will update the business community on critical piece of our area’s infrastructure, transportation. Attendees will also have the opportunity for a question and answer session at the end of his presentation. The breakfast program will take place at Four Blooms Restaurant located at 668 North Hunter Highway, Drums PA.

The program will begin at 7:45 a.m. and conclude at 9:00 a.m. A full breakfast will be served at the upcoming breakfast program for a $25 fee for chamber members and a $35 fee for non-chamber members. Chamber members and guests who would like to attend should contact the chamber office at 570-455-1509, ext. 101 or register online at hazletonchamber.org by Monday, December 4.

The Luzerne County Small Business Sustainability Grant Program is accepting applications now for one-time grant awards that will be distributed to eligible applicants.

This morning, Luzerne County officials announced the opening of the Luzerne County Small Business Sustainability Grant Program. Eligible businesses can apply online at www.luzernecountyready.org.

The program aims to help mitigate the negative economic impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on small businesses, keep their doors open, protect local jobs, support community economic recovery, and increase resiliency across Luzerne County.

“I encourage all eligible small business owners to seize this opportunity and take advantage of the ARPA funding. By doing so, you will be investing in the future of your business and contributing to the revitalization of our local economy. This program is a perfect example of collaboration with many community partners who are so deeply invested in supporting our small businesses,” stated Romilda P. Crocamo, Esq., Luzerne County Manager, at a press event held at the Courthouse.

One-time, grant awards of $5,000 will be distributed to eligible applicants with less than 20 Full Time Equivalent Employees. Businesses with 20 or more Full Time Equivalent Employees may be eligible for up to $10,000 as funding allows.
