The Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce Women’s Networking Committee is holding their fourth woman’s networking luncheon program for 2023 Tuesday, May 23RD from 12 noon to 1 pm at the Brass Buckle in Conyngham. The event is being sponsored by HARP – Hazleton Area Recreation Program and is open for any woman to attend.
The program will begin promptly at 12 noon and will include a buffet lunch. Our guest speaker will be Christie Provanzo, Executive Director for HARP (Hazleton Area Recreation Program) and she will present on Functional Fitness & Women’s Health.
Dooprize drawings including, a free lunch for the next program and the opportunity to give an introduction of your business at the event will be drawn. Women are encouraged to bring along promotional items, such as business cards, brochures, giveaways, etc. to display on our business resource table.
Additional luncheon programs for the remainder of the year have been set for Tuesdays, July 25th, September 26th; and November 28th.
The cost to attend the luncheon program is $25.00 for Chamber members and $30.00 for non-Chamber members and the fee will be collected at the door. Proceeds will benefit the Women’s Empowerment Grant Fund. Reservations are required by registering online, contacting the Chamber office at 455-1509, or emailing .
Chamber members, their employees, co-workers and guests are invited to attend a networking mixer after-hours with the business community. Fyzical Therapy & Balance Center at Hazleton will be showcasing their facility and services. The event will take place at their Hazleton location, 1077 N. Church Street in the Church Hill Plaza, Hazle Township, on Wednesday, May 10th from 5 pm to 7 pm.
Attendees will have the opportunity to meet the team at Fyzical and hear about all of the services they have to offer individuals, businesses and their employees.
Everyone will enjoy an array of complimentary hors d' oeuvres, beer and wine. No fee is required to attend the event, but reservations are required. You may register on online, or contact the Chamber office at 570.455.1509 or email .

The Greater Hazleton Chamber is seeking nominations for the 2023 Athena International Award. You can nominate a female that currently works at a business that is a member of the Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce. The prestigious award program is happening for the 35 time in our area, thanks to the sponsorship of Lehigh Valley Hospital.

Chamber members, their employees, co-workers and guests are invited to attend a networking mixer after-hours, with the business community. They will enjoy sipping delicious drinks and tasting delectable bites. Lackawanna College Hazleton Center will be showcasing their brand new program, ESL to Construction Pre-Apprenticeship. The event will take place at their campus which is located at 2 E. Broad Street in Downtown Hazleton on Wednesday, April 12th from 5 pm to 7 pm in their newly expanded space, designed solely for this program.
The ESL to Construction Pre-Apprenticeship Program at Lackawanna College is a certificate program designed to prepare students for a job in any construction field. To fulfill the needs of the local community, Lackawanna College has developed an ESL to Construction Certification that includes Pre-Apprenticeship Certificates to better prepare and facilitate our highly trained Spanish speaking population. With ten weeks of intensive industry specific English language training, our Latino students will be able to easily transition into the Apprenticeship trainings and certifications.
