The Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce Women’s Networking Committee is holding their fifth woman’s networking luncheon program for 2023 Tuesday, July 25th from 12 noon to 1 pm at Best Cigar Pub in Drums. The event is being co-sponsored by the Penn State Hazleton Launchbox supported by Pasco L. Schiavo, Esq and the CAN BE Innovation Center and the event is open for any woman to attend.
The program will begin promptly at 12 noon and will include a buffet lunch. The guest speaker is Lucy Singer, Business Consultant for the Wilkes University Small Business Development Center and she is presenting on marketing based on demographics and how to different tactics are needed for different age groups.
Dooprize drawings including, a free lunch for the next program and the opportunity to give an introduction of your business at the event will be drawn. Women are encouraged to bring along promotional items, such as business cards, brochures, giveaways, etc. to display on our business resource table.
Additional luncheon programs for the remainder of the year have been set for Tuesdays, September 26th; and November 28th.

The Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce Women’s networking committee is currently seeking applications for the 15th Annual Women’s Empowerment Grant. This grant has been established to encourage women to pursue training or education that will help them start or advance a career. The target of the grant is women who are: currently working and want to advance in their career through education or training; returning to the workforce; and/or seeking to change their current career path and pursue something more in line with their interests or passions. The grant is also intended to be available to those who would not necessarily have access to scholarships or grants. For this reason, graduating high school students will not be eligible to apply for the grant.

The event is being sponsored by HARP – Hazleton Area Recreation Program and is open for any woman to attend.
The program will begin promptly at 12 noon and will include a buffet lunch. Our guest speaker will be Christie Provanzo, Executive Director for HARP (Hazleton Area Recreation Program) and she will present on Functional Fitness & Women’s Health.

The cost to attend the luncheon program is $25.00 for Chamber members and $30.00 for non-Chamber members and the fee will be collected at the door. Chamber members, their employees, co-workers and guests are invited to attend a networking mixer after-hours with the business community. Fyzical Therapy & Balance Center at Hazleton will be showcasing their facility and services. The event will take place at their Hazleton location, 1077 N. Church Street in the Church Hill Plaza, Hazle Township, on Wednesday, May 10th from 5 pm to 7 pm.
Attendees will have the opportunity to meet the team at Fyzical and hear about all of the services they have to offer individuals, businesses and their employees.
