Funfest Canceled Due to Weather but 9/11 Exhibit and Memorial Service and Peace Love Chalk Are Still On
Due to impending weather, the Funfest Parade, Vendors & all other Funfest related activities are cancelled.
However, the 9/11 Memorial Prayer Service and Hazleton Art League Peace Love Chalk competition will still be held!
The 9/11 Memorial Prayer Service will now take place indoors at The Pines Eatery & Spirits, 8 W. Broad Street in Downtown Hazleton. You can also still view the 9/11 Mobile Exhibit Saturday and Sunday.
The Hazleton Art League will also still host its Peace Love Chalk competition inside the Hayden Family Center for the Arts.
The World Memorial 9/11 Remembrance Mobile Exhibit has arrived in Hazleton!
The welcoming committee to place the semi-trailer holding the exhibit until set up day included City Councilman, volunteer fire fighter and organizer Tony Columbo; Volunteer Driver Art Montoro; City Council President Jim Perry; Hazleton firefighters Tom Breznitskty, Mike Volciak, Jordan Klein, Joey Cincilla , Kyle Jones, and Mackensie Jones; and Hazleton police officers Mark Zola, Linaldy Rodriguez and Jordan Yanac.
