Luzerne County DA & Hazleton Police Chief to Speak at Breakfast

Luzerne County District Attorney Stefanie J. Salavantis and Hazleton Police Chief Jerry Speziale will address the business community on Thursday, August 25th at the Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce Red Carpet Breakfast program. The breakfast program is sponsored by Billig-Helmes Insurance, and will take place at Genetti’s Catering, 1345 North Church Street, Hazleton.

The program will begin at 7:45 a.m. and conclude at 9:00 a.m. A full breakfast will be served at the upcoming breakfast program for a $20 fee for chamber members and a $25 fee for non-chamber members. Those who would like to attend should contact the chamber office at 570-455-1509 or register online at hazletonchamber.org by Monday, August 22nd.

The Red Carpet programs are conducted monthly by the Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce as a way of providing information to the local business community and offering new and expanded business networking opportunities.

Night at the Races 2016

web wilberThe Funfest Committee would like thank everyone who came out for our annual Night at the Races fundraiser on April 23.

We'd especially like to say a very big THANK YOU to Cathy Kutchi and the staff at Carmen's Country Inn and Gardens hosting the event.

Night at the Races was a stylish affair. Thanks to everyone who participated in our first Derby Day Hat Contest. It was a difficult choice for our judge. Congratulations to Anna Rose Sosar for designing the winning hat!

Volunteer Committees of the Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce

The Chamber is ALWAYS looking to add volunteers who make up our committees!

If you would like to join any of the below committees, please email with your request.

AMBASSADOR:

Public relations arm of the Chamber. Assist the Chamber in welcoming new members into the organization and helping in the retention of existing members.

AWARDS:

Assist in the planning and development of the Chamber’s annual business & community awards program.

CIVIC PARTNERSHIP/RAILS TO TRAILS:

Citizen-based organization involving a Scholarship Program, Rails to Trails, Gateway Beautification, Black Creek Township Alumni Association, MCOG and Community Assessment.

COMMUNITY AWARENESS:

The goal of this committee is to foster greater public awareness of the Greater Hazleton Area’s resources, activities and opportunities.

DOWNTOWN:

Committee geared toward promoting the downtown businesses and the downtown area as a whole.

FUNFEST:

Assist in the planning and development of the annual free family festival conducted in downtown Hazleton.

GREAT PA CLEANUP:

Organize a group and adopt an area roadway for the area’s largest one-day clean-up effort.

HUMAN RESOURCES:

Goals of the committee include providing updates on changing HR issues, putting together informational seminars and forming a network to answer Chamber members’ HR questions.

MARKETING/COMMUNICATIONS:

Committee geared toward reminding and adding services and events offered to the Chamber membership.

WOMENS NETWORKING:

The Goal of this committee is to plan networking opportunities as well as special events for the businesswomen of Greater Hazleton. Four sub-committees include ladies night out, luncheon, grant and holiday decorating contest.
