The Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce is offering a program on Being More Engaged at Work, Home & the Community on Thursday, November 9th.

During this program presented by Mark Evans, he will cover the following points: Team Building, Cultural Diversity, and Giving Back to Your Community, Better Communications at Work, Work Life Balance, Smell Memories and Distractive Driving.

When we become more engaged at home, work and in our communities, great things begin to happen. Relationships flourish, your voice gets louder, and your opinions become more valued.

Tastes of Greater HazletonThe Community Awareness Committee of the Greater Hazleton of Commerce invites the public to attend the 10th Annual Tastes of Greater Hazleton, which will be held Sunday, October 15th from 12:00 noon to 3:00 pm at the Health & Wellness Center at Hazleton located on 50 Moisey Drive in Hazle Township.

Event coordinators have announced that three cooking demonstrations will take place at the event and they will be provided by the Brass Buckle, Alta Pizzeria & Pasta House and Top of the 80s Restaurant

According to Anna Jean Onuschak of Top of the 80s Restaurant, event chairwoman, “We are thrilled to feature these three very talented, local chefs and restaurant owners at our event. The attendees really look forward to seeing what they have to prepare and then having the chance to sample their dishes”

The event will feature a sampling of signature dishes and products from sixteen participating restaurants and businesses from throughout Greater Hazleton. Restaurants and their menus include:

ssptv mixer promo resizedSSPTV and Community Services for Sight are co-sponsoring an exclusive Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce Networking Mixer on Thursday, October 12th from 5 pm to 7 pm. They are both located in Downtown Hazleton at 109 West Broad Street. Attendees will first visit the SSPTV studio on the main floor, take a studio tour and have their photo taken in front of the green screen with a fall foliage background of their choice. They will then be able to view the photos on the free SSPTV app, which can be downloaded from any device.

Mixer attendees will then move upstairs to Community Services for Sight community room and enjoy wine tastings, a beautiful display of hors d’ oeuvres and networking. Members will have the opportunity to hear about the services both organizations provide to the community.

Anniversary CelebrationThe Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce is kicking off October as Chamber of Commerce Month, and in doing so, they are holding an event to recognize several long-standing members who are celebrating a special anniversary with the organization in 2017. The 3rd Annual Anniversary Membership Celebration will take place on Thursday, October 5th. In addition to the businesses being recognized, as well as their employees, the entire Chamber membership is invited to attend. During this mixer-style event, each business will be recognized during a brief program and will also receive a gift from the Chamber. Everyone will enjoy complimentary hors d' oeuvres, beer & wine.
