A 5-Part Entrepreneur Seminar Series on Steps to Starting Your Own Business begins this Tuesday, January 24th and will run every Tuesday, with the last seminar taking place on February 21st.
Each seminar will offer different topics on starting your own business and all of the programs are provided at no cost. Topics and dates are as follows: Tuesday, January 24th: Is Entrepreneurship for You?; Tuesday, January 31st: What’s the Plan? Developing a Business Plan; Tuesday, February 7th: Making it Legal. The Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce Women’s Networking Committee is holding their first woman’s networking luncheon program for 2017 on Tuesday, January 31st from 12 noon to 1 pm at Bonanza Family Restaurant located on Route 93 in Hazle Township. The event is being sponsored by Hawk Mtn Labs and it is open for any woman to attend.
“The woman’s networking committee is very excited to continue to offer our luncheon programs for 2017. The start of the chamber’s legislative series features City of Hazleton mayor Jeff Cusat who will address the business community on Tuesday, January 24th at the Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce Red Carpet Breakfast program. The breakfast program is sponsored by Landmark Community Bank, and will take place at The Pines, 8 West Broad Street, Suite 50, Hazleton.
The program will begin at 7:45 a.m. and conclude at 9:00 a.m. A full breakfast will be served at the upcoming breakfast program for a $20 fee for chamber members and a $25 fee for non-chamber members. The Red Carpet programs are conducted monthly by the Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce as a way of providing information to the local business community and offers new and expanded business networking opportunities.
The Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce is seeking businesses to participate in the 2017 Greater Hazleton Job Fair set for Thursday, March 30th. The job fair will be held at Genetti Ballrooms on Route 309 in Hazleton from 10 am to 4 pm.
This one-day event, will provide participating businesses with an informal, yet confidential forum to discuss career opportunities and options with hundreds of individuals from throughout the entire Greater Hazleton Area. Participating employers may accept resumes, offer information about career fields and employment opportunities, conduct interviews, promote your business and also seek for interns, summer employment, full and part time positions.
