The start of the chamber’s legislative series features City of Hazleton mayor Jeff Cusat who will address the business community on Tuesday, January 24th at the Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce Red Carpet Breakfast program. The breakfast program is sponsored by Landmark Community Bank, and will take place at The Pines, 8 West Broad Street, Suite 50, Hazleton.
The program will begin at 7:45 a.m. and conclude at 9:00 a.m. A full breakfast will be served at the upcoming breakfast program for a $20 fee for chamber members and a $25 fee for non-chamber members. The Red Carpet programs are conducted monthly by the Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce as a way of providing information to the local business community and offers new and expanded business networking opportunities.
The Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce is seeking businesses to participate in the 2017 Greater Hazleton Job Fair set for Thursday, March 30th. The job fair will be held at Genetti Ballrooms on Route 309 in Hazleton from 10 am to 4 pm.
This one-day event, will provide participating businesses with an informal, yet confidential forum to discuss career opportunities and options with hundreds of individuals from throughout the entire Greater Hazleton Area. Participating employers may accept resumes, offer information about career fields and employment opportunities, conduct interviews, promote your business and also seek for interns, summer employment, full and part time positions.

The Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce is offering a seminar entitled The Foundations of Grant Writing on Wednesday, January 25th.
Maria Jacketti, CEO of Mountain Laurel Copywriting and Content Creation will explain the fundamentals of grant-writing, while delivering a forecast for national, state and private-sector grant writing.
During the 1990s, Jacketti and her husband, Wayne C. Funk successfully wrote nearly $10 million in grants in health care and education. Over a generation, some critical aspects of grant writing have changed while other hurdles of these fiscal quests remain constant.
