The Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce is offering Roadway Flagger Certification Training on Thursday, November 3rd.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation’s (PennDOT) Publication 213 requires that all individuals who have flagging responsibilities on ANY ROAD OPEN TO THE PUBLIC must be certified in compliance with the most current version of Publication 408, Section 901.3 Flagger Training. This requirement applies to anyone performing flagging duties on any public roadway in Pennsylvania.

The Community Awareness Committee of the Greater Hazleton of Commerce invites the public to attend the 9th Annual Tastes of Greater Hazleton, which will be held this Sunday, October 16th from 12:00 noon to 3:00 pm at the Health & Wellness Center at Hazleton located on 50 Moisey Drive.

Tickets are $18.00 in advance (available only online) and $20 at the door.

Three cooking demonstrations will take place at the event. Chef Steve Foley and Jerry Seiwell from Brass Buckle Restaurant will start things off, followed by Sous Chef Jeffrey Wallace of Sand Springs Country Club and the final demonstration will be Chef Jeff Keller from Top of the 80’s Restaurant.

The event will feature a sampling of signature dishes and products from nineteen participating restaurants and businesses from throughout Greater Hazleton. Samples will include:

Chamber Networking Mixer at Valley View TownhomesLewith & Freeman Real Estate is sponsoring an exclusive Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce Networking Mixer on Thursday, October 20th from 5 pm to 7 pm. The mixer will take place at Valley View Townhomes, which is located conveniently off of Airport Road on Alliance Drive in Hazleton.

Chamber members, their employees, co-workers and guests are invited to this free, casual, after-hours event, which provides a networking opportunity for the Greater Hazleton Area business community. All who attend will have an exclusive opportunity to tour the beautiful Valley View Townhomes with the listing agency Lewith & Freeman Real Estate. The townhomes offer privacy, custom upgrade options and beautiful views, all while conveniently located just off the Airport Beltway in Hazleton.

Coordinated Health CEO Dr. Emil DiIorio will address the business community on Tuesday, October 18th at the Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce Red Carpet Breakfast program. The breakfast program will take place at The Pines Eatery & Spirits, downtown Hazleton.

The program will begin at 7:45 a.m. and conclude at 9:00 a.m. A full breakfast will be served at the upcoming breakfast program for a $20 fee for chamber members and a $25 fee for non-chamber members. The Red Carpet programs are conducted monthly by the Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce as a way of providing information to the local business community and offering new and expanded business networking opportunities.
