The Community Awareness Committee of the Greater Hazleton of Commerce invites the public to attend the 9th Annual Tastes of Greater Hazleton, which will be held this Sunday, October 16th from 12:00 noon to 3:00 pm at the Health & Wellness Center at Hazleton located on 50 Moisey Drive.

Tickets are $18.00 in advance (available only online) and $20 at the door.

Three cooking demonstrations will take place at the event. Chef Steve Foley and Jerry Seiwell from Brass Buckle Restaurant will start things off, followed by Sous Chef Jeffrey Wallace of Sand Springs Country Club and the final demonstration will be Chef Jeff Keller from Top of the 80’s Restaurant.

The event will feature a sampling of signature dishes and products from nineteen participating restaurants and businesses from throughout Greater Hazleton. Samples will include: Victoria's Candies offering assorted chocolate candies; T. Verrastro Beer Distributor offering seasonal and artisan craft beer and water; Carmen's Country Inn offering late summer tomato brochette on artisan bread; Carmen's Bakery & Deli offering magic squares; Edgewood by Sand Springs offering Italian fried meatballs; Sand Springs Country Club offering beef tips in burgundy sauce; McDonalds offering orange drink; Simply Homebrew offering peach apricot chardonnay and strawberry reisling; Cinema & Drafthouse offering cheesesteaks; Brass Buckle Restaurant offering Morocco shrimp tacos; Top of the 80s Restaurant offering bacon and brown sugar Brussel sprouts, beef short rib pot pie and apple cinnamon and walnut bread pudding with a caramel bourbon sauce; Coffee Service offering regular & decaffeinated coffee; The Pines Eatery & Spirits offering pork bbq sandwiches; Booty's Place offering penne with vodka sauce, chicken parm and stuffed mushrooms with crabmeat; Theodora's Restaurant offering New England clam chowder and smoked BBQ beef brisket sliders; Genetti Catering offering scrambled eggs, sausage and bacon; Giant Food Store offering mini quiche, chicken/broccoli and cheese poppers and fruit nectar; The Valley Country Club offering penne with vodka sauce; and Whipped Sweet Shoppe offering a variety of mini cupcakes.
Tickets will provide you with a sample from each of the participating restaurants and enter you for a chance to win tons of doorprizes.
