The holiday season is upon us, and you know what that means—we want to see a few really good trees! That’s right, the Hazleton Chamber’s Women’s Networking Committee is once again hosting its annual Holiday Tree Decorating Contest, and we’re inviting you to join the fun.
This year’s contest comes with fantastic prizes that can help promote your business in first quarter of 2026. Prizes for the 21st annual tree decorating contest are valued at over $2500. The top prize is a $1000 advertising package from Magic 105, and second prize is $750 package on The River a105 & 103.5. Next on the list is community favorite Panorama Magazine with ½ page print ad for $425 and $350 package from the monthly Anthracite Post which happens in both digital and print version. This is a great way to get your name out there, attract new customers, and shine a little brighter in the New Year. The Carver’s Reserve, a brand new modern Italian steakhouse focusing on exceptional premium cuts and seafood is hosting a ribbon cutting and open house on Friday, November 7th from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. The Carver’s Reserve is approximately 5,000 sq feet with 166 seats and features a main dining room, and a bar, as well as outdoor heated covered patio space. Chamber members, their employees, co-workers and guests are invited to attend an after-hours networking mixer with the business community hosted by Cross Valley Federal Credit Union. The event will take on Thursday, October 23rd from 5 pm to 7 pm at the Hazleton Launchbox located at 13 W. Broad Street in Downtown Hazleton.
Those who attend will enjoy drinks and light fare while having the opportunity to meet the Cross Valley Federal Credit Union team and Board of Directors. Hear what is new at the credit union, and learn about the exciting opportunities coming to Hazleton. Attendees are also encouraged to bring along business cards to be entered to win doorprizes.

The Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce has announced the winners of their Annual Business and Community Awards. In an attempt to help promote October as “Chamber of Commerce” month, the Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce will hold a special awards luncheon, sponsored by Community Bank, NA, to recognize the winners of the awards.
