The Greater Hazleton Chamber holds monthly Red Carpet breakfasts that feature local, state and federal elected officials with an opportunity to update the business community as well as a lively question and answer with the breakfast attendees.
The double shot that featured both Congressmen whose districts cover the Greater Hazleton Area was successful on many fronts. Thank you to Congressman Bresnahan and Congressman Meuser for splitting time and giving an inside perspective on critical topics impacting our nation in the early days of the new administration. The thoughtful questions included one from Keystone Job Corps Center related to the federal government's role in continuing to assist students in education and trade pursuit.
The networking for participants both before the formal program and afterwards had the room buzzing. We appreciate that both Congressmen and their staffs talked individually to folks after the program. This one-on-one time connecting is crucial for continued progress for our area.
Each of our Red Carpets have a sponsor. The April sponsor was a perfect match and timely topic. The Adams and Associates, who manage both the Keystone Job Corps located in Drums and Red Rock Job Corps Center in Lopez, were able to feature four of the trades trainings that are available at the two centers. Breakfast attendees could try their hand at virtual plastering, automotive wiring, and a health check of blood pressure with the certified medical assistants.
The sold out event held at Sand Springs Country Club, a chamber member, was an opportunity offered to only chamber members. This is a great example of the value that your membership brings to you and your business. Hope to see you at the next Chamber event!
