Qualified Opportunity Zones - Qualified Opportunity Zones were created by the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. These zones are designed to spur economic development and job creation in distressed communities throughout the country and U.S. possessions by providing tax benefits to investors who invest eligible capital into these communities.

Luzerne/Schuylkill Workforce Investment Board, Inc. (L/S WIB) - a private non-profit corporation that serves Workforce Investment Area # NE075, which combines both Luzerne and Schuylkill Counties into a Workforce Investment Area as designed by the Governor of Pennsylvania to implement programs established by the Workforce Investment Act of 1998 (WIA).
