136 local and regional golfers will tee off at 11:00 AM on Thursday for the 49th Annual Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce Golf Outing. The shotgun start tournament is scheduled to take place at 11 am at Edgewood by Sand Springs in Drums, with registration beginning at 9 am, and will feature trophies, prizes and awards.

The tournament will begin with registration, coffee, donuts & pastries, and putting contest qualifications at 9:00 am. A cocktail hour and hors d’ oeuvres as well as a full course dinner and awards program will take place following the round of play.

Championship, first and second flight awards will be given. A closest to the pin, closet to the pin - second shot on the green and a men’s and women’s longest drive will also be presented. A Pot of Gold contest will be conducted and a hole in one contest will take place with a chance to win a two-year lease on a 2016 Buick Encore courtesy of Berger Family Dealership.
