The Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce is offering a program on Evaluating Your Workers Comp Claims, Worker Ergonomics & Productivity Improvement on Wednesday, September 13th.
This program will explore how Physical Demands Validation (PDV) lead to a variety of safety tools including ergonomic, safety training, wellness and functional testing programs. Attendees will learn about the different types of functional testing programs, how each tests physical ability differently and how the clinical examination portion of the test may differ between types of programs. Each of these aspects plays an important role in mitigating risk. You will understand how PDV and Function Testing can help to decrease absenteeism and presenteeism, increase productivity, decrease injury rates and be an essential part of your safety and wellness strategy.
The program will be presented by Dale Rothenberger who is a Safety and Productivity professional who works with business owners and safety managers in methods to improve work / task programs. And Keith Kmieczak, MSPT, FAFS, Cert. MDT who has nearly 20 years’ experience in orthopedic physical therapy. He has received advanced training through the McKenzie Institute specializing in spinal treatment and fellowship training through the Gray Institute in functional movement training. Since 2014, he has served as the regional director for Health Connections Enterprises dealing directly with employer based services including on-site therapy and ergonomic development programs.
This program is taking place on Wednesday, September 13th from 9 am to 11 am at the Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce office, newly located at 8 W. Broad Street, Mezzanine Level, in Downtown Hazleton. Registration is $10 for Chamber members and $15 for non Chamber members.
