The Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce Women’s Networking Committee invites all women from throughout Greater Hazleton to an International Women’s Day Networking event on Thursday, March 8th from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm at Cafe Fraiche coffee shop, smoothie and juice bar, inside Elevate located at 780 N. Church Street in Hazleton.
Women are encouraged to come together and celebrate International Women's Day in Greater Hazleton and stand among women worldwide. Now, more than ever, there's a strong call-to-action to press forward and progress gender parity. There's a strong call to #PressforProgress motivating and uniting friends, colleagues and whole communities to think, act and be gender inclusive.
Gather your employees, co-workers, friends and guests. A doorprize drawing and a 50/50 raffle will take place to benefit our Women's Empowerment Grant. Everyone is also encouraged to bring your business cards, brochures, coupons or giveaways to share on our "Business Resource Table".
Café Fraiche is also having live music entertainment provided by Charles Havira Live that evening beginning at 7 pm for all guests to enjoy.
There is a $5.00 registration fee for Chamber members and a $7.00 registration fee for non Chamber members, which will be collected at the door. Proceeds will benefit the annual Women’s Empowerment Grant fund.

Other upcoming Women’s Networking events include a luncheon program on Tuesday, March 27th at the Ovalon Restaurant in Hazleton from 12 noon to 1 pm. The guest speaker for the event is Michael J. Mahoney, DO, a provider of Lehigh Valley Physician Group–Hazleton who will present on the benefits of robotic surgery. He will also touch on varicose vein treatment and general surgery. And the 12th Annual Ladies Night Out event sponsored by Lehigh Valley Health Network Hazleton, is taking place on Wednesday, April 4th at Edgewood by Sand Springs in Drums. Applications are now being accepted to participate in the business expo portion of this event. These businesses will have the opportunity to showcase their products and services to an audience of professional businesswomen from the Greater Hazleton area. The goal of this event is to provide an evening of networking, relaxation, shopping and self-indulgence for all businesswomen who attend. Participating businesses will display products, provide demonstrations, offer samples of your services and cash and carry items, which will provide an overall enjoyable experience to each woman who comes to visit your display table.
