Continuing with the chamber’s legislative series, PA Senator John Yudichak, representing the 14th Senatorial District will address the business community on Thursday, April 12, 2018 at the Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce Red Carpet Breakfast program. He will discuss business and industry related news affecting the Greater Hazleton area community with a spotlight on the Luzerne County   “SHINE” program.  Attendees will also have the opportunity for a question and answer session at the end of his presentation.  “Attracting and retaining quality manufacturing companies like IRIS, Highwood USA, and Hershey requires a collective effort centered on workforce Development.   The Greater Hazleton area and its business community have embraced this approach with their unwavering support of innovative educational initiatives like the Hazleton Area Academy of Sciences, and the Luzerne County SHINE program.  As a result, our students are acquiring  21st-sentgury advanced manufacturing skills, such as 3-D printing , which will allow them to compete for and secure family sustaining jobs in the future, “ said Senator John Yudichak.    The breakfast program is sponsored by PPL Utilities, and will take place at Capriotti’s , One Banks Avenue, McAdoo, PA . 

The program will begin at 7:45 a.m. and conclude at 9:00 a.m. A full breakfast will be served at the upcoming breakfast program for a $20 fee for chamber members and a $25 fee for non-chamber members. The Red Carpet programs are conducted monthly by the Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce as a way of providing information to the local business community and offers new and expanded business networking opportunities. Those in attendance will also be introduced to the services that the event sponsor, PPL Utilities offers prior to Senator Yudichak address. Attendees are encouraged to participate in the business card drop for a chance to win a free breakfast.
