The Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce is offering a program on Situational Awareness: A Process Approach To Being Street Smart on Wednesday, June 6th.
The term paranoid usually triggers a negative character trait. However, when your work environment has the potential for violence, like that of social workers or anyone who works with the public, a little paranoia can be a good thing. Situational awareness empowers employees to be their own best advocates for safety. Employees can stop tragedy in its tracks by adopting a constant state of alertness and readiness for whatever situation might come their way. Situational awareness is the ability to: Observe; Orient; Decide; and Act. This session will cover some of the latest tactics developed to protect individuals in threatening situations.
Zee Medical will provide this training which is taking place on Wednesday, June 6th from 9 am to 10 am at the Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce office, located at 8 W. Broad Street, Mezzanine Level, in Downtown Hazleton. Registration is $10 for Chamber members and $15 for non Chamber members. Registration is required by registering on the Chamber’s online calendar at www.hazletonchamber.org or by contacting the Chamber at 455-1509 or .
