The Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce is offering certification on CPR, First Aid and AED on Friday, June 15th.
Employers are required by OSHA to provide medical and first aid personnel and supplies commensurate with the hazards of the workplace. This course combines lecture, video, demonstrations and hands-on manikin training, and teaches participants to: call and work with EMS; perform CPR and care for breathing and cardiac emergencies; avoid blood borne pathogens exposure; and know the role of automated external defibrillators (AEDs) in the Cardiac Chain of Survival. Upon completion, students receive a certificate and wallet size certificate certifying training of First Aid, CPR and AED.
The Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc Eastern Chapter will provide this training which is taking place on Friday, June 15th from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm at the Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce office, located at 8 W. Broad Street, Mezzanine Level, in Downtown Hazleton. Registration is $85 per person and includes materials and lunch.
