Tastes of Greater HazletonThe Community Awareness Committee of the Greater Hazleton of Commerce invites the public to attend the 11th Annual Tastes of Greater Hazleton, which will be held this Sunday, October 14th from 12:00 noon to 3:00 pm at a new location for 2018, the Laurel Mall in Hazleton.

Event coordinators have announced that three demonstrations will take place at the event and they will be provided by the Frankie’s Pizzeria & Restaurant, Four Blooms Restaurant and T. Verrastro Beer Distributor.

According to Anna Jean Onuschak of Top of the 80s Restaurant, event chairwoman, “We are thrilled to feature these three very talented, local chefs and business owners at our event. The attendees really look forward to seeing what they have to prepare and then having the chance to sample their dishes”

The event will feature a sampling of signature dishes and products restaurants and businesses from throughout Greater Hazleton. Restaurants and their menus include: Basile’s Italian Restaurant offering penne with vodka sauce, chicken marsala and sausage, pepper & onion skewers; Brass Buckle Restaurant offering ahi tuna tacos; Cinema & Drafthouse offering chicken bacon ranch hoagies; Frankie’s Pizzeria & Restaurant offering sweet thai chili shrimp salad; Four Blooms Restaurant offering smoked brisket sliders, macaroni & cheese, chocolate mousse with Godiva & dark crème de cocoa; Giant Foods offering a tailgate theme of chicken wings, meatballs, cake, store made nachos with store made queso; Honey Hole Winery offering a variety of homemade wines; Keystone Job Corps Center offering roasted butternut squash soup and apple crisp; The Pines Eatery & Spirits offering pot roast and designer mac & cheese; Top of the 80’s offering clams casino, hunter style short ribs and carrot cake; T. Verrastro Beer Distributor Inc providing seasonal and artisan craft beer; Solo Cocina Café & Lounge offering tex mex salad and Cuban panini sandwiches with a side of grapes; Sugar & Loaf Bakery offering offering herb focaccia, honey valley bars and pumpkin chai cake bites with caramel buttercream

 

Tickets are $18.00 in advance can be purchased online at www.hazletonchamber.org (tickets may then be picked up at the door). Or tickets are also available during business hours at the Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce office, 8 West Broad Street, Mezzanine Level Suite 1490 in Downtown Hazleton, the Standard Speaker, 21 N. Wyoming Street in Downtown Hazleton, The Laurel Mall, Route 93, Hazleton or T. Verrastro Beer Distributor, 126 N. Broad Street in West Hazleton.

Tickets will include a sample from each of the participating restaurants and enter you for a chance to win tons of doorprizes.

Doorprizes have been donated by participating restaurants and a grand prize, will be provided by T. Verrastro Beer Distributor.

All proceeds from this event will benefit community projects coordinated by the Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce.
