The Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce Women’s Holiday Social will take place on Wednesday, December 11^th from 5 pm to 8 pm. The event sponsored MMI Preparatory School and hosted by The Pines Eatery & Spirits, 8 W. Broad Street in Downtown Hazleton.

The winners of the 15^th Annual Holiday Tree Decorating Contest will be announced and prizes will be awarded. Prizes are as follows: One :30 commercial production to be soley used on WYLN. Ten :30 commercial spots on WYLN news and 40 ROS spots on WYLN programs ($850 value) courtesy of WYLN TV 35; One month Printmark Group digital billboard advertisement package on Route 93 and 309 ($600 value) courtesy of The Printmark Group; One 1/4 page ad in the Standard Speaker ($450 value) courtesy of Standard Speaker; Holiday Greeting Ad airs until January 2nd on SSPTV programming ($425 value) courtesy of SSPTV; One 1/3 page ad in Panorama Community Magazine ($275 value) courtesy of Panorama Community Magazine; One 1/4 page ad in El Mensajero monthly publication ($80 value) courtesy of El Mensajero; One 1/4 page ad in Latino News monthly publication ($75 value) courtesy of Latino News.

 

Complimentary hors d’oeuvres will be provided and a cash bar with drink specials will be available. In addition, businesses are asked to bring brochures, pamphlets, etc. that will be displayed on a “business resource table” so that others in attendance can learn more about your business. A slideshow presentation of all participating businesses will be shown. Tricky tray basket raffles and a 50/50 drawing will also take place. There will be DJ entertainment, trivia and a photo experience. And all attendees will receive a special 15 year commemorative holiday favor courtesy of Billig Helmes Insurance. There is a small registration fee to attend the social of $5 per chamber member or $7 for non chamber members.  All proceeds will benefit the Women’s Empowerment Grant Fund.
