The Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce is offering a seminar entitled How to Hire, Retain & Grow a Sales Person on Wednesday, March 25th.
In today’s employment market, companies can struggle finding a new sales person and retaining them. In this program you will learn best practices on how to hire a sales person for your organization and what role the CEO/President plays in that person’s success. You will also learn new ideas on recruitment, selection, and performance including: Job Description – It’s a competitive market right now. Why would a sales person work for your firm? Learn key elements of a Great job description and some common missteps and tips; Interviewing – Sales today is different – technology has changed how people buy. Learn some tricks on what to look for when interviewing sales people. Questions to ask; Leadership - Is the person in charge of sales a leader? A mentor? A motivator? In a position to lead your sales person? What has failed in the past? We’ll show you who should be responsible for the sales person success and how to measure success (KPI’s). What is the CEO’s responsibility to retain and grow the sales team?; Onboarding / Sales Success – Learn how to help a new sales person succeed in the first 3-6 months.

The seminar will take place on Wednesday, March 25th from 8:30 am to 10:30 am at the Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce office, located at 8 W. Broad Street, Mezzanine Level, in Downtown Hazleton.
