The Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce Women’s Networking Committee created a brand new free monthly series that is open to all young women, called “Get It Girl” Series: Life Skills for Young Women. The next monthly session takes place this Thursday, April 29th at 3:30 pm.
“The ‘Get it Girl’ series resulted from a committee discussion on how professional women can share their experiences with younger women in our community in order to help them develop important life skills”, explains Kim McNulty, Chamber Women’s Networking Committee Chair.
The series takes place once a month and the schedule for the remainder of the year is as follows: Thursday, April 29th at 3:30 pm (via zoom), Dress for Success with Lisa Marie Halecky, LVHN-Hazleton; Thursday, May 27th at 3:30 pm, Importance of Words & Parenting with Valerie White, Pregnancy Resource Center; Monday, June 21st at 3:30 pm, Mindfulness & Meditation with Samantha Fenicchia, Peace of Mind Yoga; Thursday, July 29th at 3:30 pm, Women’s Health with Wendy Murphy, Hazle Drugs; Thursday, August 26th at 3:30 pm, Interview Skills with Lori Kane, Hazleton Careerlink; Thursday, September 30th at 3:30 pm, Cooking in the Kitchen Basics with Donna Barna, Billig-Helmes Insurance; Thursday, October 28th at 3:30 pm, Creating a Vision with Cathy Colangelo, Partners in Education; Thursday, November 18th at 3:30 pm, Knitting for Beginners with Carole Shearer, Penn State Hazleton; Thursday, December 30th at 3:30 pm, Career Counseling/Choosing a Path with Kaity Krasucki, Penn State Hazleton.
Topics already presented included Banking Basics, Budgeting & Savings Skills, and How to Use Social Media Responsibly & Professionally.
