FNCB recently presented a check for $1062 to St. Vincent de Paul Kitchen raised through a bank wide “Jeans for a Cause” dress down day in December.
Mary Erwine RN, MSN was recently named chair for the Northeast Regional Cancer Institute’s 15th Annual C.A.S.U.A.L. (Colon cancer Awareness
Saves Unlimited Adult Lives) Day. C.A.S.U.A.L. Day, set for Thursday, March 29, 2018, is a dress down day to raise awareness for colorectal cancer in
northeast Pennsylvania. On this day, participants dress casual while wearing a specially designed pin and/or t-shirt. The focus of this awareness campaign
is to have a casual conversation about colon cancer.

Angela Ceccarelli, a lobular carcinoma survivor, recently partnered with the Northeast Regional Cancer Institute to create the design for the organization’s
annual holiday card. Each year, the Cancer Institute invites a local cancer survivor to submit artwork for the cover of a holiday card sent
to over 700 individuals and organizations.

Mid Penn Bank announced that Mark Ketch will serve as the president of the Northern region. The Northern region includes the upper part of Dauphin
County, as well as Schuylkill, Northumberland and Luzerne counties. In his new position, Ketch will lead business development from all aspects in
this geographic region.

FNCB announced a $1000 Pennsylvania Education Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) donation to the Luzerne County Community College Foundation
to support LCCC’s Early College Program and an $80,000 Pennsylvania Education Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) donation to the Diocese of
Scranton Scholarship Foundation.

The Helping Hands Society was awarded an $80,000 grant from AllOne Charities.

The Greater Hazleton American Cancer Society telethon raised over $60,000 when it held its event on February 24th at the WYLN studios. Volunteers
from groups throughout the Greater Hazleton Area manned the phones and provided entertainment throughout the day. All the money raised
stays in the area.
